Live Video Crocodiles

A band is only as good as its influences, and San Diego band Crocodiles tip their hat to some excellent ones, most recognizably The Jesus and Mary Chain beats by dre headphones sale, Echo & the Bunnymen, and Spritualized. But a band is only as great as they’re able to make their sound seem unique and fresh cheap monster headphones, and singer Brandon Welchez and guitarist Charles Rowell strive to do just that by creating a fuzzy, intoxicating mix of garage, psychedelic Nike Air Max 2009 Mens, and space rock, and sharpen it with a punky vibe that betrays their penchant for girl groups. Last year, Welchez and Rowell followed Simian Mobile Disco’s James Ford (producer of Arctic Monkeys, Klaxons, Florence and the Machine) into his home studio in the middle of Joshua Tree National Park with a goal in mind to create a sound that was “more krauty, more dub” than their raw debut. The result is Sleep Forever, their 2010 album on Fat Possum, featuring a more expansive sound than any of their inspirations without leaving any of them behind. Recently, Crocodiles brought their new songs to KEXP to perform live on air with Cheryl Waters. Check out the videos:
